Smash TV//Nightwave//Puente & Rosch//The Good Natured Remixes
Smash TV is a duo from Berlin. They make really good tech house and their newest EP featuring remixes of an earlier release is nothing short of amazing. The originals were released in September of last year on Get Physical Records (great label btw). My favorite off the original was "Made for Eachother" and I really enjoy the dub off the the remix EP. Next up we have Nightwave. It's not very often I get to blog about a female producer/DJ. She been known by a few names, most notably 8-Bitch. Coming from the UK, she brings a fresh sound and all of the tracks on her Festivus EP are all quite different. I was first drawn to this album because of the Seinfeld reference and I certainly wasn't disappointed. This is probably my favorite track off the EP. The drums sound a bit like that from a Drum and Bass track (well more so the tempo) with perfectly filtered vocal samples and a jazzy sax and piano. Give it a listen and go buy the EP here.
Miguel Puente and Sishi Rosch are two dudes living in Spain making seriously good house music. They've just released their This Feeling EP. Their track name "Gangsta Club" is the perfect way to describe their sound. It's like house meets hip hop, or "gangsta club" as they call it. They have hard hitting basslines, perfectly sequenced toms, early 90s sounding vocal samples, fluttering synths, and solid stabs. Take a listen to their tracks below.

Monday night The Good Natured came through LA and played at Bardot for the weekly School Night party. To be honest, I don't really care for the band, but the event did remind me of a few remixes I had stashed away from Grum and Crystal Fighters. They're both worth checking out as each plays towards a different mood.
