Boys Noize – Adonis Remix EP
Alex Ridha just released the remix EP for his "Adonis" track on the Cocoon Recordings label. Holy batman is this a good one. The original has that old school Chicago style house sound. I really dig it although I might have to do an edit of it to get those "man gasping" vocals out. I think it's a love/hate sort of thing with those old school style vocals. Mark E takes this track in two different directions. His remix is a deep one that builds so nicely that even after 8+ minutes you wish it would keep going. Those two tracks make up the vinyl release. Which is a shame because Mark E's acid dub remix is equally as good. You never know what to expect when you listen to a Djedjotronic track and this remix is no different. It's higher energy than the previous tracks and I could see this fitting very nicely during peak hours at a club. Terrence Fixmer and Patrick Kunkel each put their own spin on "Adonis", but the previously mentioned tracks will be the ones on repeat for me. Overall I'm really pleased with this release. It shows Boys Noize continuing to go down the acid route that he has so clearly displayed over his latest releases, but starting to display some interest in tech house and even deep house too. Any style of house lover will find something enjoyable in this one.
Unfortunately these are just previews but thats even more of a reason to go pick up the vinyl or extended digital release today.
